Dear Readers, Life happens. (Birdie, Billy and James) Since I last published a post nearly two months ago, we welcomed Baby James into our family on March 1. Three days later a family member was diagnosed with an illness which has taken me away from home, as well as sewing for extended periods of time. Why is so much wonderful cotton shirting described as a man's fabric??? I couldn't pass on Mood Fabrics' beautiful pink/blue Italian cotton shirting even if the description read - This is a light weight 100% cotton shirting with a woven pattern. Smooth, soft, sleek, ideal for men's dress shirts. Cotton is simply my salvation during this time of year, and with a new grandchild due on September 1, the pink and blue stripes spoke to me! Greetings, Dear Readers! I hope those of you celebrating Easter had a joyous holiday weekend. My love of pink and orange is approaching unstoppable 😉 Actually, this color combo has been a long time favorite that resurfaces periodically, which is usually, but not always, contained to clothes. I ordered three yards of the pink and orange cotton metallic tweed from Mood Fabrics two years ago and it is now sold out - however, Mood has a nice selection of metallic tweeds on its website in several types of fabrics. Unfortunately my camera does not capture the metallic thread which shimmers in the sunlight and beautifully...
