Happy Holidays and a Pfaff Passport Giveaway!

28 Dec Happy Holidays and a Pfaff Passport Giveaway!

Greeting Dear Readers!

I’ve learned through the past few months that multitasking is not my forte´. As I so excitedly announced, Julie Starr and I signed a contract for a second book which  required my immediate and devoted attention to receive a 2019 publishing date. We turned in our final package December 5, and then it was Christmas.

Hello and Happy New Year!

IMG_0106

These pics taken on December 4, are from our last photo shoot, and we’re on the charming cobblestone street, South Adgers Wharf, in Charleston, SC. The shirt is a favorite pattern, the Sewaholic Granville Shirt, and the self-drafted pencil skirt is sewn in a brown and ivory stretch tweed from Mood Fabrics.

Julie is wearing the Rosa Shirtdress by Tilly and the Buttons, sewn in a faux suede by Shannon Fabrics. This lovely company hosted a book signing for us in Houston two years ago and sent Julie the suede. I’m not sure where it is sold.

Baby Billy joined in for the final photo – I’d say we are both happy to wrap up this project!

In November I took time out for a trip to Hawaii at the invitation of the Hawaii Stitchery and Fibre Arts Guild. Flying with an extra large suitcase loaded with clothes, I presented a trunk show and lecture (for lack of a better word) followed by a two-day Tunic Bible Workshop.

May I just say Hawaiian Hospitality ranks right up there with Southern Hospitality? I was greeted with a Hawaiian Feast upon arrival…………IMG_0069

and showered with handmade gifts before departing. Are these Aloha Shirt coasters not adorable!

Best of all was connecting with this talented, knowledgeable and friendly group of sewists during my stay.

I’ve also enjoyed observing the cultural aspects of tunics throughout Tunic Bible workshops.
3 tunicsThe 2018 Ready to Wear Fast

To say I have been inspired by the 2018 Ready to Wear Fasters is an understatement. I created a Facebook page for the Fasters which became a supportive community of goal oriented women who enthusiastically shared their successes, offered and reached out for advice, and kept the momentum alive throughout the year.

It was an absolute pleasure to meet these wonderful women and one man! As I’ve said in public presentations, the online sewing community has dramatically elevated the world of fashion sewing, and has been a huge motivation to me.

WELL DONE FASTERS!

I will not be hosting a 2019 Ready to Wear Fast but the Facebook page will remain open for those who wish to continue.

I would love a Pfaff Passport 2! It would make sewing at the cottage so easy…easy to carry plus contains all the bells and whistles needed for creative sewing. It would make sewing away from home a breeze and it looks super cool! I am inspired again for the new year! Looking forward to the new book!

Hello Sara, missed seeing your post! Glad your year was productive with a second book coming out. I can’t wait to see what it will bring! So as far as a new machine is concerned well I retired December 2017. This year I did some traveling but I want to do more! I would like to visit places where I can learn sewing or weaving techniques. Having a light weight machine would be so helpful! I am looking forward to 2019, I for one will keep the fast going. I hope you have a wonderful 2019 and I look forward to all your teachings! Madeline

I’ve enjoyed the challenge of the RTW fast and am in the process of making my last project – an outfit for a wedding on 31st. I’m trying to do this at the same time as packing up my house! A new Pfaff sewing machine would be wonderful, especially as my current machine is on its last legs and I will have little space once we move into our temporary accommodation.

I have been using a Pfaff Quilt Expression 4.0 for many years and have absolutely loved it – won’t even consider using another machine for my day-to-day sewing.. Having another Pfaff that is more portable would be the perfect addition to my sewing since I often take my machine to classes and workshops.

I think the best question is why wouldn’t I want to own a Pfaff Passport 2, lol? I currently own a Pfaff 1171 that was bought new in 1992 but has lovingly found a second ownership with me. This is the only Pfaff I have owned and I love it, there is truly nothing like a Pfaff. I do worry about repairs on this one as I heard parts are becoming harder to come by. I would love to own a new Pfaff so that I could take some of the pressure off my old Pfaff, that way they could share the work load. It would also be nice to compare and see if the new Pfaffs hold their own or surpass the old ones. Thank you so much for the chance to win, someone will be super lucky. Have an awesome day.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I would love the Passport! I live in NJ, right outside of NYC, and have met many sewists in the last few years via classes at FIT, etc. I wear items I have made and talk up the virtues of getting the color, style, and fit desired, but that can only happen by doing it myself. Want to show others how sewing is not crazy hard, but does take concentration and commitment. Thanks for continuing to inspire!

I’ve been RTW fasting for two years and plan to continue for as long as I can. This has really upped my sewing skills! I would love this machine because it has features not available on the vintage machine that I use. I love the idea of using a button to sew instead of a footpedal and would love to experiment with the speed control. But I especially love all the decorative stitches! Something not available to me now. So many possibilities! So many ideas!

I have a very nice Baby Lock sewing machine but it is large and heavy. It would be so nice to have a more portable machine that I could take on the go and still have it do all the things I need it to do. I have never had a Pfaff machine and I would love to try it out on all those projects on my To Make List!

Besides the convenient small size it would have to be the IDT feature. Not to have to install a walking floor would be divine. I have been interested in a Pfaff for awhile, so to own one to get to know it better would be terrific.. So happy to see you again. Congrats on the new grandchild. More details on the book any time soon?

Althought my FB particiption the the RTW Fast has been non existent, I have been sewing, learning fitting techniques and what styles look good for me. I have enjoyed seeing the talents of the posts and have been inspired by every post. Fabrics, embellishments, patterns, and love of sewing has inspired me to reach higher and try a new technique with every project. A new machine would be a great way to start out my RTW Fast for 2019. Thank you for the inspiration, motivation and community we shared in 2018.

The RTW has taught me that I can survive without ready made clothes. It has also given me more confidence in my sewing abilities. I’m now excited to wear clothes that I make for myself. If I had the lightweight Pfaff, I would be able to take my sewing anywhere with ease and continue with the RTW fast! ( Although, I would like to buy a sweater every once in a while 😀).

My Pfaff 2046 nearly didn’t make it out alive from being transported to a workshop. I was VERY lucky to find a wonderful repair shop that resoldered the broken wires on the circuit board (after a different repair shop insisted the machine was dead and I’d have to buy a new one due to lack of replacement parts). I’d welcome a machine fit for travel so as to preserve the life of my workhorse and to experience the newer features now. available. Many thanks!

Why would I want to own a Pfaff Passport 2? After 47 years of sewing and having been a RTW 2018 faster, I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that the RTW industry has lost a customer. I lasted the 2018 RTW Fast and have proved to myself that I don’t need to buy RTW clothing anymore! This year of fasting has taught me not to make impulse buys that disappoint time and time again. I am confident in my own makes and much happier for it…… and may just have created a little monster in my daughter who is now also thinking twice before she buys clothing and regularly requests me to make clothing for her. She lives 700kms away, so to have a portal sewing machine and hop on a plane to visit her and sew would be her and my ultimate!

I purchased a fabulous pfaff back in the early 80’s. It was the very best machine I could afford. I used heavily until about the early 2000’s. It was such a great machine. Nothing I’ve had since compares. I would love another one! I miss your inspirational posts!

First, I would like to know if the 2018 RTW Fast fashions can be viewed by anyone. I did not participate, but would love to see what your participants have made and also learn what I can from them. I will be retiring in 2019 and plan to be camped at my sewing machine much more than I have been able to in the past couple of years. Secondly, I am interested in the Pfaff give-away so I can participate more in our ASG all-day programs. My machine is installed in a cabinet and it would be very difficult to remove and haul to these events. A smaller machine would be ideal and more light-weight. I also met a designer who teaches girls/teens how to sew and I am interested in assisting her with that. Most do not have machines so I could bring it to the class and spread my knowledge and love of sewing to a new generation. Love what you do too.

As a new bride I accompanied my Army husband to Germany for a tour of duty. (1977) I bought my first sewing machine there and it was a Pfaff. A new Pfaff, always up for that. I have been using my trusted Pfaff 1222 SE since my husband purchased it in 1980. I finally acquired another Pfaff 1222 SE just in case my trusted machine breaks and found out the “spare” is actually 6 years newer and sews just as wonderful. Always can use another Pfaff though, yes I would love to win this one. I have done the 2018 RTW fast and also I have not posted anything I have sewn more than any other year ever. I will continue the fast into 2019 with one addition of scaling back in my fabric purchase. It would be great to have a new sewing machine — hear many good things about Pfaff. My electronic machine has reached 23 years old — if it ever goes, no chance of getting it repaired. I love the bells and whistles, and the small profile and light weight. I hope to win! Happy New Year! I am sure you will find new projects/adventures. BTW – is the facebook page for the ready to wear fasters open to new members? Thanks

Winning a Pfaff a passport 2 would be a dream come true. As an elementary school drama teacher, I lug my sewing machine around to sew in my classroom, my office, my drama room and anywhere else handy to work on costumes. The IDT system would be a game changer with its ability to sew different types of fabric. It also opens up teaching moments when students see me constructing something. They can see clothes just don’t grow on retail racks or magically appear on websites. With all the animal “onesies,” poodle skirts and period tunics I have on my plate, I would be very grateful to win. Thanks for the opportunity!

I have the Pfaff Creative Sensation Pro and love it to pieces! As much as I love my big Pfaff, she is not a good traveling companion. She is large and heavy and has to stay home when I travel. This sweet little Passport would be the ticket to having a faithful companion for retreats and travel. You have had an amazing year and have inspired me to push beyond my comfort zone. I am still buying Army uniforms, but this season is coming to a close quickly (much to my sadness, I love being a Soldier) and need to own real garments for G-d’s new plans for me. G-d bless and happy new year!

Hello! I would especially enjoy the Pfaff Passport 2.0, because I have been diagnosed with heart disease. Because of that, I have an extreamly hard time lifting my machine to take to a sewing classs. With a light weight machine, I could go and not worry if I will be out of breath trying to lift and carry my machine into the class.

The many reasons, I’d like to win the Pfaff Passport 2 are

1- the strong Pfaff reputation for quality machines

2- I have limited space in my 2-bedroom apartment and this machine is the perfect size

3- portability to take it on short trips and to sewing classes

    4- the features

5- it would put a big smile on my face !!!!!!

I have been sewing since I was 12 years old. During the last several years, I have greatly improved my skills by reading sewing magazines and watching videos, especially the classes on Craftsy. I read and loved the articles and pictures by Julie Starr and followed her on Craftsy. My favorite garments to make are tailored coats and jackets with silk lining. I have a 15 year old granddaughter who wants to learn to sew and wants her own sewing machine that is small that she can carry herself and can set it up on the house on a desk or table. Would be forever grateful to have this wonderful Pfaff machine. Many thanks to you and to Pfaff.

I currently sew with a Baby Lock. Nice machine, but my aunt used a Pfaff during her sewing career.

She taught sewing in the high school and made wedding gowns for the public.. As a pre-teen learning to sew on my mother’s 1960’s Singer, I was awe struck with her Pfaff.

My aunt suggested I learn to sew by using a Vogue Pattern. I thought she was so cosmopolitan. I learned how to “rip out” my mistakes and now sew very well.

I would love to own the Pfaff.

I would love to win the Pfaff because they are the top of the line in sewing. Their seams are perfect. And they practically sew on their own. Why would I love to win the machine? I live in a Rv trailer. My husband and I live on social security so I could never buy one. I love to make clothes and it is the perfect machine for clothes and quilts. I have rheumatoid arthritis and I can’t lift heavy machines. I have to wait for my husband to get home. This looks like a feather weight so I bet I could lift it. How wonderful it would be to win a new Pfaff. My 7570 recently died after a long and productive life. The repairman said he was looking for a new circuit board. After 6 weeks, he asked if I would like to donate it to him as he couldn’t locate one. I would like to know how long it would take him to find a circuit board if I DID give it to him. Not very long, I imagine! I thanked him and brought my broken baby home. Makes a good door stop!

I intend for 2019 to be a transformative year. I have decided to turn every outfit I sew into something boldly artistic by experimenting with different designs, colors and fabrics. I want to up my attention to detail. I believe the Pfaff Passport 2 can take me there.

A modern, lightweight (12.9 lbs) innovative multi-use sewing machine built for mobility is just what I need. More specifically, the Integrated Dual Feed (IDT) System that allows for transitioning varying thicknesses of fabrics is an especially attractive feature together with up to 70 programmable stitches. The stainless steel free arm with the optional extension table would work wonders in my space.

Nothing like kicking off 2019 with the means to achieve my goals in an exceptional manner. I would most certainly be grateful if I became the proud owner of a Pfaff sewing machine on New Year*s Eve.

Enjoy following your sewing adventures. Congratulations on the completion of your new book. All the best in 2019 to you, your family as well as all the readers of your blog.

Not being able to justify spending a lot on couture, I threw myself into making it. Sarah you and these women are what taught me that I could do it! Two years later I make almost all of my own clothing and i look as good as Bergdorffs window ;). To boot I have been sewing this whole time on a refurbished Brother I bought at Walmart for $50. I miss the fine Pfaff German engineering, the precise stitching, the IDT, and the exquisite built-in stitches. I even miss the somewhat nerdy manual. Should I be chosen, I promise to take good care of her, and will deeply appreciate the body friendly size and function.. Thank you for your blog and your inspired creativity. So much fun.

Owning a Passport 2 is a “lifetime dream of mine”. I am a 81 year old seamstress who has been sewing since I was 20. I was sewing wearables but have started quilting. Bringing this machine to all my quilting classes and sewing bees would make life so much easier.

I’ve got a Kenmore 158.19412 — a true work horse, capable of sewing through just about anything. It also weighs a short ton. Because my sewing spot is also my office desk, I need to often move the machine, but since it’s so heavy, I find myself leaving the sewing machine in storage and therefore losing out on opportunities to sew. A lighter machine would make the moves so much easier! Also — I’d love to experience some of the new features, like an automatic threader or the 1-step buttonholer available on the Pfaff!

Happy New Year! All of us, no doubt, would love to win a new Pfaff machine! I know I certainly would!

I am currently using a hand-me-down machine that is increasingly difficult to get serviced. My husband and I have accepted a multi-year assignment to Tanzania and I desperately need a compact, reliable, versatile machine to help me make that transition later this year. I cannot wait to play with a new range of African prints.

I am currently starting a sewing project to sell items and donate the proceeds to the local food pantry. Since I use upcycled fabric for my creations, this machine would help immensely with the built-in stitches to decorate the fabrics plus the workhorse reliability that Pfaff machines are known for. Hope I win! Happy New Year!

Oh my! Just one comment on why I would love to win a Pfaff Passport II? First would be the quality of Pfaff machines—I have heard about the integrated walking foot—makes so much sense. Why don’t other companies do that? Second is the idea of having a machine easy to transport to classes—maybe even to take when I visit my kids! I might even be able to make clothes they want that truly fit them! Third, this is likely the only way I’ll get to own a Pfaff. Then I’ll be able to Pfaff around with all you other lovely sewers!

I’ve never owned a Pfaff, but have always been very curious about the IDT tech. I garment sew, but tend to avoid trickier fabrics like chiffon or satin since my older Kenmore likes to suck them into the feed dog without extensive precautions. Maybe the IDT will help with that? If I win the Passport II I guess I’d find out, so here’s hoping! 🙂

It has been a struggle finding time to sew between a full- time job (necessary to buy fabric), serving a president of our local ASG chapter and leading a monthly beginning sewing neighborhood group. But as the year ends I have sewn more clothing that fits than I have for many years. Sewing keeps me grounded. As sewing skills improve it would be great to have a newer machine to make the process even more fun.

So sorry I missed your Hawaii tour. We are usually there in the summer to visit family. I always seem to have a lot of fabric to bring home. The Aloha spirit is amazing.

My husband bought a Pfaff for me as a wedding present, That was in 1972, Sadly, not a year after my husband died, my machine stopped working. I just didn’t have it in me to get it fixed so I donated it to a quilting club. I now feel like getting back into sewing and would love to have this machine. For the past two years, I have been learning pattern drafting (to improve the fit for my pear shape) and garment sewing. I succeeded at pants and skirts. Working on getting the right fit for tops /dresses. I would love to have a machine that I could carry in my travels (car) and be able to sew with others. I am a solo sewist and I am thinking that there must be others within 30-minute drive that are also into garment sewing. There are lots of quilters but no garment makers.

I partially succeeded at the 2018 FAST as I did not buy retail but did not complete a capsule wardrobe. Life happens.

I have a Pfaff Performance and am saving up for the Icon (a pretty long process for someone on a fixed income!) Meanwhile, I would love to have the Passport 2 for classes. My back injuries keep me from sewing for long periods on any other machine. The gentle slope of the base keeps me from having to wrestle fabrics up onto the base and to lift my shoulders to sew. The difference keeps me sewing. And the Passport has many more features for it’s size than any other machine I have seen.

I have a new young friend that is about the same age that I was when I started sewing. When she walks into my sewing studio, I see the same look on her face they I had when my parents took me to visit a profession seamstress friend. When ever we get together, she asks me if I made the garment that I am wearing. Even her younger brother has taken notice of my hobby. One day they were visiting in their pj’s , planning to change clothes at my house. Little brother forgot his undershorts and asked his sister if I could make him some before we left for church. 😊 I would love to give this sewing machine to my young friend and start her on the wonderful path that I have been on for 55 years!

I so enjoyed being part of the RTW Fast this year. I joined the Facebook page, which rewarded me with so many new friends and a ton of inspiration! I wasn’t a frequent poster there, didn’t even share photos of things I’d made over the year until this month, but I was able to answer several questions posed by some of the more enthusiastic and prolific new sewists in the group. Thank you so much for creating the fast and the community – it has inspired me to move outside my boundaries a bit more this year: I’m about to print my first pdf pattern to make a new knit top from some fabric I purchased at Fabrique in Dallas in October!

Now, as why I would love a new Pfaff machine – I attend a sewing retreat weekend every year in November, in the Berkshires in Western Massachusetts – 5 miles off the highway and 1 mile up the mountain. As I get older, packing and lugging all the projects and equipment gets harder to do. Not going is not an option – so a lighter weight machine packed with features like this one would be so much better to bring along!

Happy new year to you and your family, Sarah!

I love my Pfaff 1222E, but it’s not easy to take to sewing retreats or my #ASG Neighborhood Group meetings, and the 1959 Singer Slant-o-matic is even heavier and less portable! I love Pfaff machines and this would be awesome to bring my sewing into the 21st century!

Sewing has always been an important part of my life. My mom taught me to sew doll clothes and then my own clothing from a pattern. I honed my skills in a performing arts high school that had a costume shop. When I began working, I sewed my own suits to help stretch my budget and met my husband when he offered assistance in stowing my sewing machine in he overhead bin of the plane we were on.

Sewing on the Pfaff Passport would be a dream come true! I have 3 kids in college and am constantly making, mending, and modifying things for them. Because it is portable, I can work as easily at home as I can in their dorm rooms. I also sew with friends, hosting “Fix It” days and sharing sewing skills. I would love to learn how to use the differential feed and experience the exquisite craftsmanship of such a well engineered machine.

I already own 2 Pfaff sewing machines: an older Tiptronic (made in Germany!) and a 2046 (made in Czech Republic). I love them both so much; they truly are “Cadillacs”. The Passport sounds wonderful: compact and easy to travel. Plus, I loooove Charleston so much!!

If the Tiptronic and 2046 are Cadillacs, the Passport must be a Volkswagen 😂 and I agree…..Charleston is the best.

I want to get back into sewing again, and my old machine is just not up to snuff! Your clothes are so beautiful and your tunic bible is just waiting to be delved into more fully than just looking at the pretty pictures. I hope at age 70 to spend my declining years looking well dressed and to be an inspiration to my friends. Cheers and glad you are back online.

I have never sewn on a Pfaff….but think that the dual feed system would make sewing heavy garment fabrics and also quilting very smooth. I would love to give it a try. I could then give my other small portable to my Mom.

I have long admired the Pfaff sewing machines with IDT. One of my challenges is maintaining even feed of the top and botttom fabric when sewing a seam. I always end up with one side slightly longer than the other. The Pfaff Passport 2.0 with IDT would solve this problem. I would love to own this Pfaff!

Happy New Year! 🎊🎆🎈 Wininning this travel beauty will be a great step toward reaching a number of my 2019 sewing goals!

First is to host (with a friend) a “Tunic Bible” sewing session with a number of women who love to sew! We have committed to a night for this project to be completed and this little baby will be traveling with me every Tuesday!

Second….I have decided to find and join some sort of sewing retreat! Where I can hone my skills and learn some new ones! This Pfaff would be my traveling companion and sounds perfect for the trip!

Last I have decided to teach my granddaughter to see….and can see that the size of this machine would be a perfect addition to my space. What a way to pass on my love of 🧵 and clothes to my fashionista granddaughter!

I work with homeless women and their children in a small shelter in my community. To have a portable sewing machine would allow me to carry it to the shelter to begin teaching the women how to sew. Knowing how to sew will give them new skills and focus, increasing their selfasteem and selfworth. Learning basic and advanced sewing skills will help them mend cloths, sew for their children and themselves and possibly provide a means of income in the future.

What an exciting giveaway!! Like so many others, I would be grateful to win such a beautiful and functional machine. My current sewing machine is a very basic Sears Kenmore model that is many years old. It is a workhorse that I have been blessed to have the opportunity to sew so many garments with for myself and my daughters. Recently, she has decided to be a little finicky and I am having g to be gentle with her. I have hopes of passing her on to my oldest daughter who is nine and so very eager to have her own machine. The Kenmore still works wonderfully for simple and basic items so it would be a good fit for her for the first few years if her sewing journey. But this Momma would sure appreciate a capable (to say the least) professional machine to sew more for my husband and myself as well as work on a quilt here and there, I’ve never made a quilt before and I would love to try on the Pfaff!!! Thanks for the giveaway opportunity!! All the best to everyone and a very happy New Year to you and yours!!!

I have loved my Pfaff 7550 for over 25 years, using it for both quilting and garment sewing. Before I got it I went through 2 0r 3 machines because none of the produced a decent, reproducible stitch. But my 7550, how do I love thee… until the motherboard burned out on Christmas Eve as I was madly finishing Christmas presents. I’ve been reading reviews for various since then while my planned projects sit. A free Pfaff… how nice to dream.

This is end of my first year of sewing and what a year it has been. I’ve learned so much and am so proud of how far I’ve come. All of my sewing had been on a rather rickety plastic machine that was about as inexpensive as I could find at the time. Now that I know I love this art I definitely want to upgrade! I would love, love, LOVE! a Pfaff Passport 2! My current sewing machine, which I bought second hand in 2014, has been used almost every day since. Apparently it was dropped by its previous owner, and the bent innards have gotten more and more worn, to the point that it doesn’t make a consistently good stitch. I grew up sewing on my mother’s Pfaff sewing machine. I sold primarily clothing for myself for my younger siblings for nieces and nephews but also a few toys and purses. When I married and had children of my own I couldn’t afford a sewing machine so I would go home and sew on my mothers Pfaff. With the promise that I would see for my younger sisters my mother paid for half of a new sewing machine. But it was not anything like her Pfaff. I sewed on it for years though and was finally able to purchase a better quality machine . But nothing before or since then has compared to the sewing that I did on my mother’s machine. It has been a dream of mine for 50 years since I started sewing when I was 10 years old to own a Pfaff machine. It would be a dream come true to win this machine!

Have owned a German Pfaff sewing machine my Dad traded our window A/C unit for with a woman who had come back to America from Germany in 1974
I was elated…as a young tall teen who sewed all her pants and tops to fit….I knew I could continue to do so when we moved to Germany in just weeks after we traded with this wonderful woman!
Anyways,, this was in 1974, and upon coming back to the U.S.A., with my mother and father retiring and moving to Florida….I had the Pfaff’s German electric current plug switched over to the American current.
It has worked for years, and quite wonderfully I must say. It’s apart of my young adult year…and can’t part as I’m sentimental to a fault.
Having a new Pfaff like the one in this give-a-way would be so Over-The-Top for me!
Wishing you all a very Happy New Year!

As I have ten and twelve year old grandsons who love to sew, this machine would be most welcome! We have great times in the sewing room, I believe passing on our love and knowledge of sewing is time well spent.
Thank you for the opportunity and Happy New Year!

I would love to own the Passport2 machine for two reasons. I have never owned a Pfaff machine and I know it I would be fabulous. Also, I have had two surgeries this year and would like a lighter weight machine for classes and clubs! Thank you!

      Carol,
I hope you recovered nicely from your surgeries and sorry there could only be one winner.😉

Delighted to see you back. A new machine ..what a wonderful way to prepare for retirement. I would enjoy sewing with my new Pfaff. Thanks for the opportunity.

I would love to win the Pfaff sewing machine. I am constantly on the move due to family and business demands which means I seldom have the opportunity to sew cuz my sewing machine is too large to drag around.

A versatile, small, compact sewing machine would suit my sewing needs and fit into my demanding life style,

    That’s all for now, Nancy

I would love to win this sewing machine for my sister. Her “ancient” sewing machine is behind repair. She cannot afford to buy a new machine and really misses sewing. This would be a wonderful surprise for her.

Welcome back. I felt like I received a belated Christmas gift when I saw your post. And a Merry Christmas to you too! A chance to win a new machine?…and a Pfaff portable machine at that?…….yes, please. I would love to win such a machine because it would be perfect to take to the little sewing/crafting group that I belong to. I think it would also fit the bill to take to each of my daughters’ homes as I teach them to sew….I would absolutely love it. Thank you for all you do to keep us sewing and maintaining this art form.
Happy New Year to you and yours.

I know I missed the deadline and that’s ok – I’m long on machines.
But I REALLY want to know about the wrap dress you’re wearing as you’re pulling the rack of clothes for the Hawaii show. It looks like a DVF throwback – a favorite style that had just come out when I was in college. (yes, revealing my age!) I made several way back then and LOVED them! Will the pattern be in the new book?
    Thanks!

      Lindsey,
It is the Style Arc Leah Wrap dress sewn in a swimsuit type of fabric. It is featured in the upcoming book and I will eventually write 😉

Any announcement about the winner of the Pfaff Passport 2? Second, I would like to know the pattern and details for the bold blue dress in the left hand corner before one opens up the Gallery … it has BLOG written upon it. Have not been able to find it in the gallery. Happy sewing in 2019 everyone!
