02 Nov Word’s Out
“Honey, what ‘s going on??? Is there someone else? Are you taking drugs? You’ve stopped cooking dinner, the laundry is piled up and you just don’t have time for me anymore. What is it? “
“None of the above dear, I’ve started a sewing blog.”
Well, it wasn’t quite that dramatic, but you get the picture. Glad that’s over with so I can get back to sewing……..

Posted at 10:22h, 02 NovemberToo funny!! I wondered what your husband thought with no more clothes shopping :-)! Mine would be wanting to know what was going on if I stopped SHOE shopping! We are in the process of rearranging our master bedroom closet and clothes and SHOES are everywhere. He had to take everything out by himself and when I got home……..my oh my! He was astounded at how many pairs of shoes I had. It probably wasn’t a good idea to have him move all the stuff out without me there, but too late now. I will make sure he doesn’t EVER move my fabric stash!!!!

Posted at 20:55h, 02 NovemberHi Carol – Protect your fabric stash with every ounce of energy you have! I can see mine being mistaken for rags or dropclothes and being tossed out accidentally on purpose. As for my husband – he doesn’t understand my blog yet and has no idea I haven’t bought any clothes since August but don’t worry – timing is everything!!

Posted at 03:13h, 03 NovemberAh too funny. You are right about protecting the stash. Wait until you start hiding it …

Posted at 11:46h, 03 NovemberHiding it! That’s funny right there. I just bought (and received yesterday by my husband when FEDEX rang the doorbell and woke him up!) those plastic boards to wrap your fabric on from PolarNotions. I already have 50 of them wrapped and on display in the sewing room closet and have ordered another 100 of them!! So, I’m not hiding it, I’m displaying it and embracing my love of fabric proudly!!! I just don’t want him moving it around 🙂 or asking questions about it, you know those questions – When are you going to sew that up?, When are you going to ever be able to make enough stuff to use this up?….and more.
