It’s a mansion compared to my last site, and I invite you to roam around at your leisure 🙂

I’ve been in no man’s land for several days, and have learned many readers have already seen the new site. I could see it too but had no access.

The new site is elegant and beautiful. I look forward to your new content, and in particular the sewing sites links.

If I may, a couple of comments as an avid sewing blog reader. Collapse the archive and tag links. It’s great to be able to easily find older posts, but in some blogs, I have to scroll too long to get to the links…which I love!

For what it’s worth, I’m not a big fan of the rolling splash at the head of the page. It appears on a lot of pages, but imho it forces me to scroll down too far before getting to content.

These are personal opinions. Another personal opinion is that your video “About” is fantastic. I love the capsule history of your evolution as a sewista.

OOPS. Finally, I tried posting this, but was directed to a page that told me I forgot to enter my name and email. It had no links or obvious method of progress. I back-spaced to the comments, filled in the name and email info, submitted again, but was directed to a new pages stating I’d already posted that. Hmmm…this may be out of your control, but I thought you should know.

Great new site — so attractive and easy to navigate. I look forward to your interviews. Have you thought of interviewing some of your RTW Fasters? I have browsed some of their websites at times, but there are SO many of them. With the year coming to an end, I’d love to see a feature about their experiences

You continue to be a great inspiration to all of us. Thank you so much. Since you are a Craftsy fan, how about an interview with Suzy Furrer. I am totally hooked on her pattern drafting classes and enjoy moving my sewing from pattern/design/fit to fit/design/pattern. This has opened up a whole new world and I love the fact that my clothes now fit from the start! Or at least pretty close to it and much better than any commercial patterns. I still buy commercial patterns for their inspiration and for puzzling out a design…I am no where near that smart.
    Happy sewing! Susan

Love the layout of the new site, my only critique is that I am finding the images in the gallery slow to load.
I would love you to interview Anita from Well Suited there may be a slight problem as she is based in Australia !! but her site is facinating., and her designs are just gorgeous.. You continue to inspire and encourage me to sew, thanks so much.I would say that it was your blog that first encouraged me back to the sewing machine and get sewing again especially when I saw your version of Stylearcs Abby Cardi, that was it never looked back

I love the new site too! It looks sophisticated and classy, like you, yet approachable. I think everything is also easier to find and appreciate! Somehow I am one of the 2014 RTW fasters that got left off of the list. I was on the old site, but didn’t see myself on the new one.

It is just beautiful, Sarah! I haven’t been too active with sewing or blogging this year, even though I took the NO RTW challenge. I started a new job, and just didn’t feel I could keep up. But I have been following your wonderful, inspirational blog and the new site is wonderful. Not sure if this is where you wanted us to offer suggestions, but I hope you will include La Petite Josette in your Great Sewing Blogs section. Her site is fresh and delightful. Thanks for your continued blogging!

Love the new site, but had difficulty finding it. Was only able to locate the new blog through PatternReview. The message I got by email connected me with the old site. Mood Network did not help either. It may be that a link for the new site needs to be sent to the list of subscribers.

Love most of the new look! Very elegant and very much like I picture you.The only thing I don’t like is the center justification—I think it is more difficult to read. Not to worry, it is probably just a personal preference and won’t stop me from following. You are very inspiring.

I just hopped on over from Marcy Tilton’s website and I’m delighted to discover your blog. I am doing much the same. Not the blogging, but I decided a short while ago that I will not purchase anymore ready made clothing for a year – and hopefully longer. It’s only clothing handmade by me from now on. I am already receiving such positive feedback from my friends and even requests to “make me one.” I’m excited to explore your new web environs and get even more inspiration. Thanks for sharing.

When I started sewing my clothes, I heard similar comments and it’s true – we sew what we want to wear, not what we can find to wear. Have fun!
