TUNIC BIBLE

Sarah Gunn and Julie Starr, authors of The Tunic Bible offer a two-part workshop dedicated to making tunics that will rival Ready-to-Wear favorites!

PROJECT
Students will learn to design and construct tunics with professional results.

PROGRAM
SESSION I (2 1/2 – 3 HOURS)
Following a Meet and Greet with Sarah and Julie, the authors will share their story and motivation behind writing The Tunic Bible. They will explain how to use The Tunic Bible for maximum results, and help students select fabric for their tunic project if needed.

SESSION II (6 – 7 hours)
Students arrive ready to sew! Sarah and Julie guide students through cutting and marking their pattern pieces. Class and personalized instruction will focus on Placket Construction and Trim Application.

PREREQUISITE
Please note that this workshop will only cover construction, not fit. For best results students should make a bodice muslin prior to class. Sarah and Julie are happy to look at finished muslins after Session I at the student’s request.

SPOLETO RIBBON SKIRT WORKSHOP

Add a feminine touch to your wardrobe with Spoleto Ribbon Skirts. Whether you are seeking a subtle ombre effect, sewing for game day in your team’s colors, or making a young girl’s skirt in patterned ribbon, the Ribbon Skirt is a fun sew. No one will believe you made it!

PROJECT
Students will learn to design and construct a ribbon skirt.

PROGRAM
SINGLE SESSION (7 HOURS)
Students arrive ready to sew with Skirt Pattern Pieces and Ribbon.

PREREQUISITE
Please note that this workshop will only cover construction, not fit. For best results students should make a bodice muslin prior to class.
