07 Nov Whereabouts and Giveaway Winner!
Greetings from the magical land of Morocco!
Julie Starr, Dorcas Ross and I are on a trip of a lifetime with the talented Amy Butler and Valori Wells, along with 10 other lucky people!
As soon as I opened the email in February, I knew an immediate decision was needed and asked two of my sewing friends to join me.
Creative workshops and cultural inspiration galore fill the week along with the opportunity to connect with a lovely group of women, and our leaders husbands.
Julie and I made tunics to express our admiration for Amy 🙂
but the most moving experience so far has been spending a morning volunteering with the students of the award winning Project Soar program, led by humanitarian and American designer, Maryam Montague whom I urge you to check out. This wonderful program which helps aspiring communities soar a little higher through art education, renovation projects, as well as through sports and health education works with adolescent girls, and it was such a privilege to participate.
The cute girl featured in the above photograph served as the translator for the CNN documentary about the program featuring Meryl Streep and Michelle Obama.
I’ll stay in touch through Instagram and can’t wait to share more.
The giveaway winner is lucky 100 – Whitney Luckenbill! Congratulations, Whitney and please send me your contact information by Sunday, November 13 or a new winner will be selected.
Have a good week, dear Readers and many thanks for participating! I loved the guesses and now understand all of the England and India responses! Hopefully the hints make sense now!
