Introducing…
The Tunic Bible Β© C&T PublishingCorrect.
One Pattern, Interchangeable Pieces and Endless Possibilities!

For months Julie and I have kept the details of our book under wraps at the request of our publishers at C&T Publishing. Now we are thrilled to bring you the big reveal πŸ™‚

Last year we entered a tunic-state-of-mind determined to capture the details that characterize our favorite tunic labels, such as Sail to Sable, Tory Burch, Jude Connally, Gretchen Scott, Devon Baer, Lilly Pulitzer and more.

We realized the tunic bodice is a constant. Changing a single detail such as a neckline, placket, trim, collar or length can affect the tunic’s entire appearance leading us to our aha moment ~

One Bodice, Interchangable Components, Endless Possibilities

Scheduled for release in the early Fall, Β we have createdΒ The Tunic BibleΒ for home sewers of diverse sewing skills, from basic to advanced. Our one-stop pattern and lookbook combine the components needed to make unlimited fashionable tunics whether your style is everyday casual or preppy chic, boho or glamorous. Additionally, the book includes a full size pattern in sizes XS to XXL.

We believe there is a tunic in all of us, and therefore designedΒ The Tunic Bible to guide you through finding the look that fits your style, selecting fabrics and trims, fitting the bodice, assembling the garment and adding embellishments.

Loaded with inspiration galore, the lookbook features our collection of dozens of tunics as well as a fantastic gallery of tunics created by online sewists you’re sure to recognize!

Valentino?

But of course! Gallery sewist, Cissie Wellons created her jaw-dropping tunic from our pattern in a stunning Valentino silk.

We invite you to join us on this most exciting journeyΒ of creating those sought after ready-to-wear tunics on demand, and please stay tuned, for there is much more to come!

Available for pre-order on Amazon here!

Until soon πŸ˜‰

Thank you so much for creating your tunic book. I have per-ordered my copy from Amazon and wish you both every success. You deserve it. I am a subscriber and have been following your articles for about a year now but have never before made a comment – preferring to watch quietly from the wings. Your infectious enthusiasm and your beautiful garments have helped drive me to return to sewing and at present I am intent on making my first ‘Little French Jacket’. From necessity I started sewing at 13, and then from the love of it took my first job at 16 with a top Australian Bridal shop as a ‘hand sewer’. At 19 I even tackled my own wedding gown – albeit with some misplaced confidence when I realized at one point I had made two right sleeves. Children arrived, grew up and left and over time the sewing declined but then by chance sitting at my computer one day (ah the remarkable age of technology) I discovered people such as yourself and the inclination to sew came to life again. My sewing journey now continues as I am able to watch, learn and be inspired by wonderful people such as yourself half a world away and for that I am truly grateful.

How fun! It looks amazing! Dare I ask if you’ve designed this for multiple cup sizes?

So glad you asked! Our pattern drafter recommended increasing the cup sizes for the larger sizes, but the XXS is designed for the standard B cup. We believe the pattern will work for all as you’ll see in the book gallery πŸ™‚

Congratulations! It looks like a really good book and writing a book is sooo much work so what an accomplishment! I wish it was being released now as I can really use a tunic for the summer!

Tunics! Perfect—you were so good about not dropping any hints. I had zero idea of your subject, but, of course, tunics is an obvious choice. Can’t wait to buy it—will pre-order as well, even though I’ll be in Paris this fall.

Thank you, Jeanne!! I bet Amazon would deliver the book to Paris πŸ™‚ πŸ˜‰ We had great fun working on the book together. Julie does not have a book but you can find her on the pattern review website
http://sewing.patternreview.com/members/Jstarr4250 . Julie has made some fantastic garments accompanied by informative reviews.
