17 Sep New Website and Giveaway!
It is with great excitement that Julie and I announce a companion website to our upcoming book, The Tunic Bible, thetunicbible.com. Not only is the website designed to enhance your tunic sewing experience, thetunicbible.com will allow me to post far less tunic material on goodbyevalentino.com.
So you might say this is one of my last tunic posts on Goodbye Valentino 😉
Julie and I have sewn over 60 tunics during the last 16 months, and became intrigued with several tunic designers. In the beginning it was Sail to Sable, followed by Tory Burch , then Gretchen Scott and others. We accumulated a collection of RTW tunics, and have four left that were not decimated or worn, and we’re giving them away!
To enter the giveaway, simply sign up to follow thetunicbible.com and leave a comment on the new blog post. You’ll be entered to win one of the four tunics unless you specify otherwise. Winners will be announced on Thursday, September 22. Please note sizes range from XXS to Small.
A huge thank you again, dear Readers for your support! I hope you’ll draw inspiration from our efforts and I look forward to connecting with you both at Goodbye Valentino, and with Julie at The Tunic Bible.
Until soon 🙂

Posted at 05:29h, 18 SeptemberHi Donna! We knew the sizes wouldn’t fit everyone, and bought many tunics to learn about construction techniques. Many thanks for the comment, and I hope you enjoy the book 🙂

Posted at 22:06h, 08 OctoberI received an email from amazon today telling me the release date had been changed to FEBRUARY 9 2017!!! Sometimes I think amazon thinks its users aren’t very bright – did they I we wouldn’t check? Anyway, I cancelled my order through and placed it instead through C&T Publishing. I would assume I will be able to get it from the publisher long before February! 🙂

Posted at 06:15h, 17 OctoberChris,
The February date with Amazon was a mistake and has been corrected, however, you will still receive it sooner than Amazon through C&T.
Many thanks for ordering!

Posted at 21:09h, 14 OctoberHow do we find out who won the book from all the blog sites?
goodbyevalentino
Posted at 06:13h, 17 OctoberEach blog will announce it’s winner, so check in with the various sites. Good luck!
Carol
Posted at 14:47h, 18 OctoberI’ve tried looking at some of the sites – not all are easy to locate – some I didn’t see an announcement of a winner. Guess I’ll just hope I wasn’t one.

Posted at 19:36h, 31 OctoberLove the idea of the book with one pattern and many variations. How about doing something similar with the concept of the Veronica Beard jackets with dickies?
