My Good News!

10 Aug My Good News!

Dear Wonderful Readers,

Like I said last week, I’ve probably missed you more than you’ve missed me……. but just in case you have noticed my absence, let me explain my whereabouts and share my most exciting news!

This Spring I’ve been hard at work drafting a book proposal with my dear sewing friend, Julie Starr.

On Friday we signed a book contract with C&T Publishing under the Stash Books imprint!IMG_0001

Excitement abounds for us first time authors and we’ve lots of hard work ahead. Presently, we must keep quiet about the subject and title, but as you might expect it is a sewing book, and it is for you!

Julie and I are so proud to belong to a group of home sewers that exceeds 35 million creative women and men in the United States alone! Would you believe we met through the Pattern Review website? Julie and I quickly discovered we shared mutual sewing backgrounds, similar tastes in apparel, and an enormous desire to learn more.

Best of all, we both live in South Carolina!

As a great admirer of Julie’s sewing I asked her to partner with me on a book idea.

As Ecclesiastes 4:9 states “Two is better than one because they have a good return for their labor. If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.” How true this verse has proved in this experience!  Our skills and ideas have worked in harmony and we are certain our publication will be a worthwhile contribution to the sewing industry 🙂

Thank you, dear Readers for your unbelievable support these past four years! Next month I’ll enter my fifth year of sewing and blogging with you, and well…… I just can’t imagine anything more enjoyable than being creative together!

I will be scarce for a few more weeks, and really look forward to being back with regular posts.

Until soon I hope! 🙂  🙂  🙂

Yay! Good for you & Julie. I have seen some of her reviews on Pattern Review & like what she makes also. I can’t wait to see the new book! Maybe since I live in South Carolina too, I can pop over to have the authors sign my copy!

I love that verse from Ecclesiastes and want to cross stitch it for my husband one day for our anniversary. A friend of mine did that and what a nice anniversary gift.

    Keep us posted!
